Microsoft's European Fifa 14 Coins Windows 8Store has reversed a decision which saw adult-rated games such asSkyrim, Dishonored and Modern Warfare 3 bannedfrom the distribution service.
The issue arose as a result of the US's ESRB and European PEGIrating systems for games not being directly equivalent.
While the US differentiates Cheap Fifa 14 Coins between Mature and Adult -- thelatter mainly being reserved for pornography -- Europe's mostmature games are given either a PEGI 16 or 18 rating with 18encompassing not only Adult content but a number of games whichwould be given the Mature rating in the US. As a result the gameswith a PEGI 18 rating were initially treated the same way as the USAdult titles and banned from the store.
It basically ends up disqualifying games that would be ESRBMature, Windows Corporate VP of Web Services, said AntoineLeblond.
However, according to Gizmodo, the change will only come into effectaround December 2012 meaning the UK version of the Windows Store iswithout big-hitters like the Mass Effect series fortoday's Windows 8launch.
